Meet Our Team!

Model UN empowers today’s students to be tomorrow’s leaders.

We believe that Model United Nations is the single best activity to prepare today’s students to succeed in a changing world. Model UN helps students learn about the world, develop their public speaking skills, gain social confidence, and build their leadership skills.

Model UN simulations are interactive, and students love representing different countries and solving world issues. Students love being able to take on leadership roles within their MUN clubs, conferences, or communities. And students love being able to make new friends in MUN and become inspired to go change the world together.

Best Delegate is the world’s leading provider of Model United Nations programs and content for students, teachers, schools, nonprofits, governments, and the United Nations. Best Delegate has provided online MUN resources to more than 3 million participants and runs the Virtual Model United Nations Institute and other programs for over 4,000 students every year.

Best Delegate was founded in 2011 when Ryan Villanueva and Kevin Felix Chan, two friends who met through Model UN, decided to quit their jobs and pursue their passion of teaching Model UN worldwide.

Kristen Campbell (she/her)

MUN Mentor, New York University

Kristen Campbell is a senior at the New York University’s College of Arts and Science double- majoring in Data Science & Politics with a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. Kristen is a poll worker for NYC and an NYU Votes Ambassador. She was born in Kansas and has lived in, London, New Orleans, Houston, Paris, and NYC. Her first experience with Model UN was being a staffer for her elder sister’s conference PAMUN when she was at the American School of Paris. She was not a very good staffer in her first committee because she spent the entire conference falling in love with the debate and passion of the delegates. She has been on the NYU Model UN Travel Team since freshman year and has staffed numerous EmpireMUNCs and NYUMUNCs. She teaches an NYU Model UN Training Initiative to the recruits for NYU’s Travel Team and to anyone at NYU looking to learn about what Model UN is. Last year, Kristen was the in-person MUN Mentor for Renassaince Charter School and loved every second of it! She enjoys reading books, watching cinematic limited series, and trying new coffee shops in her free time.
