Full-Time

Events & Logistics Senior Manager

Remote (U.S.) • Programs • Full-Time • $67,000 base (~$75,000 total compensation package)

Own the logistics behind every MUN Institute campus: contracts, housing and meals, materials, and staff travel. Fully remote, with about 4–5 weeks onsite each summer to launch our key sites.

Job Description

Events & Logistics Senior Manager

Remote (U.S.) • Full-Time • Reports to: Programs Director, Logan Smith

About the role

You'll own the logistics that make the MUN Institute possible on every campus: university and vendor contracts, housing and meals, materials and shipping, and travel for 60+ seasonal staff across a 9–11 week summer. This is a logistics role, not a Camp Director role. You won't supervise students or manage onsite staff; you'll make sure every site opens with rooms booked, meals ordered and materials in place. You'll personally launch our key sites, then run remote support for the rest of the summer.

What you'll do
  • Negotiate and sign every Summer 2027 campus and vendor contract by March 1, including rates, room blocks, meal plans and cancellation terms
  • Build and maintain a contract and renewal calendar and a vendor database
  • Map logistics costs to a per-student cost for each site
  • Source and ship all program materials to arrive at least a week before each program opens
  • Book staff travel and lodging across sites within budget
  • Write a logistics packet and contingency plans for every campus
  • Launch camp locations
  • Serve as the single escalation point for facilities, vendor, housing and travel issues all summer
  • Deliver the summer within budget and run a post-season debrief for every site and vendor
What we're looking for
  • 3-5 years of project management and event planning experience; multi-site or multi-day events strongly preferred
  • Vendor sourcing, contract negotiation and budget ownership
  • Comfort tracking costs against plan and explaining variances
  • Experience in youth-serving programs such as camps, conferences or residential programs
  • Confident communicating by phone with university partners, vendors and parents
  • Able to travel about 4–5 weeks each summer
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship); must pass a background check
  • Protection of Minors training within 3 months, and First Aid/CPR certification before your first onsite kickoff
  • Nice to have: university conference services or campus housing experience, Model UN experience, a CAPM, PMP or CMP certification

If you meet most of the requirements, we encourage you to apply.

Schedule & travel

Travel: Fully remote, except about 4–5 weeks onsite each summer at our launch sites. Flights, lodging and meals are covered.

Peak season: From mid-May to mid-August, expect 60 hours a week, including weekends on arrival and departure days. Extra time off accrues, and school-year hours shift so the year averages 40 hours a week.

Tools: Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, HubSpot, plus project management and CRM tools.

Compensation & benefits

$67,000 base salary, plus an annual summer delivery bonus of up to ~$2,000 and a potential company bonus, for total compensation of about $75,000. Benefits include a $300/month health care stipend, a $50/month technology stipend, up to a 3% 401(k) match after 6 months, paid family leave, and 22 paid days off (12 vacation days + 10 holidays). Flights, lodging and meals are covered during onsite periods.
